Georgia football is back-to-back SEC champions .

Now, it’s time for the Bulldogs and their fans to find out what the next step is in the College Football Playoff after celebrating a 28-7 blowout of Alabama.

Kirby Smart ’s team is 12-1 and is expected to play next on Jan. 1 in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans after getting a first-round bye.

The CFP selection committee could move Georgia up to No. 2 or keep the Bulldogs at No. 3 behind Indiana and Ohio State.

The 12-team field will be revealed during today’s selection show.

Georgia also got a first-round bye last season in the first year of the playoff growing from four teams to 12. The Bulldogs were bounced 23-10 by Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl.
