PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. — A man is in custody after allegedly stabbing someone to death in Pickens County.
Pickens County Sheriff Tommy Blankenship said in a video released on Saturday that, earlier in the day, the Easley Police Department spoke with the suspect, Brandon Wayne Hopkins, who reportedly claimed he had stabbed someone at his home.
Deputies went to the home and said they found a female victim dead of what appeared to be stab wounds.
Pickens County Coroner Andrew Wilson said his office was called to the 100 block of Oakwood Street in Easley and identified the victim as 41-year-old Crystal Lynn Pace of Easley. He added that they found that she died from at least one wound from a sharp object.
