An apartment building in Rocky Hill was evacuated on Saturday morning while police dealt with a person who had barricaded themselves inside one of the apartments.

Officers responded to the Forest Park Apartments on West Street around 8 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about a domestic dispute.

When police arrived, they learned one person was still in the apartment and refused to come out. It was not clear if the person had a weapon, police said.

As a precaution, they evacuated the apartment building.

The Capital Region Emergency Response Team was also called to the scene.

The person was eventually safely taken into custody just after 1 p.m. No one was injured.
