Sylvia Blain, an Eshet Chayil (woman of valor), passed away peacefully this past Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. She joins her beloved Mike, her husband and best friend for 66 years.
Sylvia’s life focused on three things – her family, the Jewish community and Israel. She had tremendous energy and was beloved by her caregivers these past few years for being fun, loving activities, dancing (even with a walker) and her kindness. She and Mike had three sons, Zvi (Julie) Leshem, David (Susan) Blain and Daniel (Miriam Rosenberg) Blain, as well as 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren who deeply loved their Savta.
Sylvia was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth Moser and Harold Kramer, and her sister, Nancy Walsh.
She worked for many years as the administrator at the Hasten Hebrew Academy of Indi
