One driver was sent to hospital in Hamilton for medical treatment after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 20 outside of Fonthill late Sunday morning.

The collision occurred just before noon near the intersection of Balfour Street.

Niagara Regional Police closed a portion of the highway pending updated information about the patient’s condition. If the injuries are determined to be serious or life-threatening, that will trigger an extensive investigation by the collision reconstruction unit.
