In another move that marks structural changes to Southwest Airlines , the carrier announced Tuesday its partnership with Condor , a lesser-known budget German airline that’s been connecting San Francisco International Airport to Frankfurt since 2022.

While Southwest does fly to destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America, the new partnership gives the airline, which primarily flies within the U.S., another portal to expand its international offerings.

“Adding Condor to our portfolio of partners brings transatlantic journeys between dozens of airports in the U.S. and exciting and aspirational places Condor serves,” Andrew Watterson, Southwest Airlines’ chief operating officer, said in a news release.
