Mumbai has earned a place among the world’s top five best food cities, according to the latest TasteAtlas rankings. The city is the only Indian destination in the global top 10, celebrated for its diverse street-food culture and rich culinary heritage.

From the tangy Bhelpuri and spicy Pav Bhaji to Vada Pav, sweet Modak, and Ragda Pattice, Mumbai’s street food has long been popular with both locals and tourists.

Beyond street snacks, TasteAtlas also recommends several of the city’s traditional restaurants, including Ram Ashraya, Shree Thaker Bhojanalay, Cafe Madras, Nawab Saheb, and Baba Falooda, which showcase the depth of Mumbai’s food culture.
