Mumbai has been named one of the top five food cities in the world in the latest TasteAtlas rankings. This makes it the only India n destination to appear in the global top ten. This recognition comes from the platform’s research on local dishes, food traditions, and popular recipes.

This year, Mumbai secured fifth place for the second year in a row. TasteAtlas praised the city’s rich culinary scene and vibrant street-food culture. The list highlighted dishes like vada pav, amba, modak, pav bhaji, ragda pattice, ice halwa, Bombay biryani, bombil fry, Bombay sandwich, and bhelpuri.

The platform also named well-known eateries such as:

* Nawab Saheb

* Baba Falooda

* The Bombay Canteen

* Gurukripa
