CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Shedeur Sanders and the Browns were rolling, but key mistakes down the stretch cost Cleveland in a 31-29 loss to Tennessee Sunday at snowy Huntington Bank Field.
Sanders hit Harold Fannin Jr. on a 7-yard TD pass with 1:03 left but the 2-point play to tie was no good.
Sanders (364 yards passing) threw for 3 scores and ran for one in his best day as a pro but also had a costly interception late in the 3rd as Cleveland blew a 17-14 lead.
Tennessee then turned a crucial Dylan Sampson fumble into points in the 4th quarter, building a 28-17 lead.
The Titans also blocked a Corey Bojorquez punt in the 4th, leading to a Joey Slye field goal.
Sanders’ best moment was a bomb to Jerry Jeudy for a first-half touchdown.
