ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — More flights are being canceled and delayed after the ground stop on flights coming into Atlanta were lifted Sunday morning.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported just before 8 a.m. that all inbound flights to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport were being held at their departure airports because of low visibility. It had been extended up until 10:45 a.m.
As of 2 p.m., FlightAware is reporting that 112 flights into and out of Atlanta have been canceled, while 1,029 flights have been delayed. 44 flights heading into and out of Atlanta have diverted to nearby airports
At this time, there is a 15-30 minute delay for flights leaving from Atlanta.
