Nags Head Board hears beach nourishment bids

Town Engineer David Ryan reviews beach nourishment bids at the Dec. 3 meeting.

Low bid about $36.9M for 2026 and $39.4M for 2027

As the Town of Nags Head moves toward selecting a contractor for its upcoming beach nourishment project, Town Engineer David Ryan reviewed the three bids the Town received at the Dec. 3 Nags Head Commissioners meeting.

The three bidders for the beach nourishment project, slated for the summer season in either 2026 or 2027, are Manson Construction, Great Lakes Dredge & Dock and Weeks Marine. The bids were received on Nov. 13, and while Great Lakes Dredge & Dock and Weeks Marine submitted bids for 2026 and 2027, Manson submitted only a 2027 bid.
