ASHEVILLE, N.C. —

The Asheville Police Department says they have a arrested a man after a deadly shooting Sunday morning.

Police say they responded to Amboy Road following a report, and when they arrived, they found Antonio Tremaine Carson Jr., who had multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say that during the investigation, Automatic License Plate Reader data and surveillance footage were instrumental in establishing a detailed timeline of events. Detectives and forensic technicians recovered several critical pieces of physical evidence.

Investigators presented the findings to the District Attorney’s Office, resulting in a first-degree murder charge and discharging firearm in city limits.
