It’s hard to believe we’re saying this, but the Kansas City Chiefs are on the edge of missing the playoffs. They’re 6-6 and down three starting offensive linemen against a ferocious Houston Texans pass rush. Houston went from 0-2 (and 2-4 after the loss to the Seattle Seahawks) to 7-5 and in the mix to win the AFC South. It’s still very possible the Texans make the Wild Card should the Jacksonville Jaguars or Indianapolis Colts prevail as division champion.
There will be no division title for the Chiefs this year. Their AFC West dominance finally ends for the first time in a decade. In order to make the Wild Card, they probably need to finish 10-7, which gives them little wiggle room the rest of the way. The dynasty is on the cusp of having a stunning miss.
This is a biggie to wrap up We
