BALTIMORE -- Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was not happy the referees overturned tight end Isaiah Likely’s would-be touchdown grab against the Pittsburgh Steelers .
“I don’t know, man. I thought it was a touchdown man, but the refs made the call they wanted. They believed that was right, so gotta go with it. It you were on the field with us, I believed you’d thought it was a touchdown as well."
So, what is actually the right call? CBS rules analyst and former NFL referee Gene Steratore says it was the right call because Likely did not satisfy all three parts of what constitutes a catch.
While he obviously had both feet in bounds and secured control of the ball initially, he did not maintain the ball long enough to perform a football move, according to Steratore.
