Pending approval from the Board of Trustees during a 10 a.m. meeting, former Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell will be introduced Monday as the 17th full-time leader in Penn State history.

His first press conference as a Nittany Lion is scheduled for noon.

Campbell brings a strong track record of success in his previous stops with the Cyclones and at Toledo. He boasts a 107-60 career record as a head coach and was a former Big 12 and MAC coach of the year.

Long heralded as a coach who has done more with less talent and financial resources, Campbell’s agreement to move to Happy Valley ended a 54-day stretch between the time athletic director Pat Kraft fired James Franklin and found his next answer.
