LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Police Department have released the names of the two officers who shot and killed a man in Hurstbourne Acres on Thursday, Dec. 4.
When the incident happened, officers responded to an apartment complex in the 9000 block of Red Deer Circle, which is just off Taylorsville Road, around 1:30 p.m.
Police say that Officers Austin Taylor and Michael Crowe had asked the man to drop his weapon, a small chase ensued before the man pulled out a gun. Both officers shot and killed the suspect
LMPD Deputy Chief Ryan Bates said officers tried to provide aid, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
