SALINA, Kan. (KAKE) - Illuminations at Botanica has been around for many years and Wild Lights at the Sedgwick County Zoo more recently popped up, but there’s another big Christmas lights display in Salina and its one organizers say you won’t want to miss.
Rolling Hills Zoo calls it the only all-indoor, climate-controlled light display in the state of Kansas.
Holiday Lights at the Museum is described as a magical and unique Christmas experience. The Salina museum on Rolling Hills Zoo property features more than 500 full mount animals of 200 different species, lit up with various lights, complete with a Christmas soundtrack.
“You get to see the animals in a whole different light,” explained Linda Henderson, Rolling Hills Zoo marketing director.
