The top Ukrainian negotiator said the most recent Russia peace talks in the U.S. with President Donald Trump's team were "constructive" and he will now return to Kyiv to discuss the latest proposals with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Those talks in Florida with Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner followed the pair's hours-long meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Putin had called those talks "necessary" and "very concrete," though the Kremlin still had strong objections to some of the proposals.
"The primary task of the Ukrainian team was to obtain from the American side complete information about their conversation in Moscow and all drafts of current proposals in order to discuss them in detail with the President of Ukraine," said Rustem Umerov, secretary of
