LIHUE — The Kauai Interscholastic Federation boys soccer program opened its 2025-26 season on Saturday with games played in Hanapepe and Puhi.
Kapaa boys, playing on the date of its Winter Ball, took an early season lead by shutting out the Waimea boys, 2-0, at the Hanapepe Stadium. Score sheets made available by game official Dave Hudcavic indicated that Isaiah Noguchi and Hunter Kerry made the score that gave the Warriors a 2-0 win over Waimea High School.
Playing opposite the boys, the Kapaa girls are still in search of its first season win after dropping 4-0 to the Menehune wahine.
