From the Times-Call photo archive via Longmont Museum: “Children lined up early to take advantage of the free skating Saturday at the Al-Du-Rena skating rink. The open house is part of the Times-Call, KLMO sponsored Christmas parties for children. Also offered are free movies at the Twin Plaza theatre and coupons for free hamburgers at Burger Chef. The final party will be held this week. Two bicycles will be among the prizes given away in the final drawing. Originally published Dec. 14, 1970.”
