CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The jury trial for the 89-year-old man accused of a hit-skip accident outside the Parma Marc’s that injured a mother and her two-year-old son, is scheduled to begin Monday in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

George Balasko, of Parma, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of vehicular assault, two counts of failure to stop after an accident, and two counts of failure to stop after a nonpublic road accident.

He remains out on a $10,000 personal bond.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. on March 21 outside the store in the 7500 block of W. Ridgewood Dr.

Parma Police said Maddox and her two-year-old son, Genesis Ojikut, were hit by the car after stepping into the parking lot.
