ORLANDO, Fla. — A fight delay at Westchester County Airport, then rain and heavy Central Florida traffic delayed Yankees general manager Brian Cashman’s arrival for the start of baseball’s annual Winter Meetings until early Sunday evening.

First on Cashman’s agenda at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek were TV interviews with YES and MLB Network, then a longer one with beat writers in front of two queen-sized beds in the hotel room of a Yankees media relations staffer.

There was no juicy news coming out of the television spots or 30 minutes with the Yankees’ print media, but Cashman did throw out an interesting catchphrase during his Q & A with the writers:
