I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! contestant Shona McGarty has candidly discussed a stern reprimand she received early in her career, and how it influenced her work ethic on EastEnders and later in the jungle.

The actress, best known for her 16-year stint as Whitney Dean on the BBC soap, shared her experiences on the Yellowbelly Presents podcast. She spoke about joining the show as a teenager and the rapid learning curve that came with being part of one of the UK's most popular dramas.

Despite landing the role at just 16 and living "literally across the road" from the studios, McGarty confessed that she didn't always understand the level of professionalism required on set.
