North Dakota-based candy company Get Coffee’d has closed

VELVA, N.D. — Get Coffee’d, the caffeine-infused candy company doing business in the former Dot’s Pretzels plant in Velva, has closed.

The business was founded by Tate Howe, who previously worked as a sales and marketing representative for Dot’s Pretzels.

Howe met founder Dorothy “Dot” Henke in 2017 while working at a grocery store in his hometown of Bemidji, Minnesota.

In a 2024 interview with The Forum, Howe recalled his boss tossing hi
