Metro Inc. MRU-T says it has officially signed the Canadian Grocery Industry Code of Conduct.
The grocery code is intended to promote fair dealings between grocers and their suppliers, including the application of penalties and fees.
Metro chief executive Eric La Flèche says the company has worked with the code office to ensure its success and looks forward to its implementation in the years ahead.
