[Arizona Sports] Report: Red Sox, Rays, Tigers have checked in with Diamondbacks on Ketel Marte – USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reported on Sunday three new teams have joined the group interested in trading for the three-time All Star: the Boston Red Sox, Tampa Bay Rays and Detroit Tigers. Nightengale reported that Marte could potentially be traded due to his contract and being under team control through 2031. He added that the Diamondbacks believe now could be the time to move on from Marte and in are in “desperate need” for pitching with the Red Sox, Rays and Tigers each having the pitching depth to pull off a trade.
