Police are investigating a $10,000 smash-and-grab jewelry heist at a Connecticut mall and are asking the public for tips.
Waterbury Police said two masked men wearing all black approached the Banter Jewelry kiosk at Brass Mill Center around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6. They began shattering the glass display cases with a hammer. The noise sent people scrambling as the suspects grabbed jewelry and sprinted away.
No one was hurt, but multiple people were left shaken. Many families were still inside the mall when the attack happened.
Police are investigating the crime.
