The Department for Work and Pensions has warned people on Carer's Allowance they must remember to inform authorities of any changes to their circumstances where applicable.

As of earlier this year, more than 1.4 million people across the UK are claiming DWP Carer's Allowance. The benefit offers £83.30 weekly and is designed to support those providing care for someone for at least 35 hours each week.

Whilst claimants don't need to report a change in circumstances for a single day away, they must do so for prolonged overseas journeys. This specifically applies to foreign travel lasting more than four weeks within a six-month period.
