NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Tulane’s football program will be turned over to Will Hall, sources confirmed Monday (Dec. 8) to Fox 8.

Hall, 45, served this season as passing game coordinator for the Green Wave. He will be introduced Tuesday as Tulane’s new head coach, replacing the outgoing Jon Sumrall.

Hall has a career 70-50 record as a college head coach at West Alabama (25-11 from 2011-13), West Georgia (31-9 from 2014-16) and Southern Mississippi (14-30 from 2021-24).

Sumrall announced Nov. 30 he would be leaving Tulane to coach at the University of Florida. But Sumrall will continue coaching the Green Wave through their run in the College Football Playoff tournament.

The 11th-seeded Green Wave face No. 6-seeded Ole Miss in the first round of the CFP, Dec. 20 at Oxford, Miss.
