Vida Black Godfrey, age 74, died on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at home, in Fielding, Utah. She was born June 25, 1951 in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Clyde C. and Reta Nelson Black.

Vida grew up in Logan and on the family farm in Juniper, Idaho. She graduated from Logan High School and attended Utah State University. Vida married Rex W. Godfrey on March 24, 1972, in the Logan Temple. They are the parents of six children. Her crowning achievement is her eternal family.

After marriage, Vida moved to the home they purchased in Tremonton. Together they bought his family farm in Fielding; where they built a home and raised their family. She spent the remainder of her life working alongside her husband and children in the dairy business they built. T
