August 21, 1933 — December 2, 2025 (age 92) Clifton Duane Kerr passed away peacefully at home on December 2, 2025. He was born on August 21, 1933, to Clifton George Mercer and Irene Pack Kerr in Tremonton, Utah, and grew up on the farm with his brothers, Rolfe, John, and Nolan.
He attended McKinley Elementary School, Bear River High School, BYU, Utah State, and the University of Utah School of Medicine. He married Carrie Kathryn Calder of Vernal in the Logan Temple on July 8, 1958. They had six children, 31 grandchildren, and 56 great-grandchildren.
Duane served in the Canadian Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (in Ontario and Quebec) and in many church callings, including scoutmaster, counselor in two bishoprics, bishop, and high councilor. He and Carrie serve
