ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — An Allegan County man was facing sentencing for a slew of sex crime charges on Monday until his attorney withdrew.

Casey Letts, who was 33 when he was charged in 2024 , pleaded no contest to capturing/distributing child sexually abusive material, two charges of using computers to commit a crime and criminal sexual conduct in the second degree.

He was scheduled for sentencing at 9 a.m., but his attorney withdrew from the case. He is now scheduled for sentencing on January 5, 2026.

Letts was accused of downloading and sharing large amounts of child porn via Telegram and Instagram.

That activity tipped off the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which then got the Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children task force and the Allegan Co
