The update, published on the Starlink India website after months of regulatory movement, signals that the company is preparing for a wider rollout aimed at regions with limited or unreliable broadband access.

The long-awaited pricing confirmation has fuelled speculation that the service is nearing commercial launch, even as the availability map continues to show India as “pending regulatory approval”. With government clearances gradually progressing, industry watchers say Starlink ’s entry could reshape India’s satellite communications landscape–especially as it plans to target households directly from day one.
