BRAINERD — A clipper system is expected to bring heavy snow Tuesday, Dec. 9, to the Brainerd lakes area, with 3-5 inches possible.
The National Weather Service in Duluth issued a winter storm watch for Tuesday afternoon through late Tuesday night for a large portion of central Minnesota, including Aitkin, Cass, Crow Wing, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Todd and Wadena counties.
Tuesday’s storm is the second clipper expected to impact Minnesota, the weather service reported, with the first moving through Monday afternoon into Monday night. However, snow accumulation for the Brainerd area is expected to be less than an inch.
