PALMETTO, Ga. — Police are investigating after they said a father was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Bojangles restaurant by the manager at a Palmetto restaurant on Sunday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched to the restaurant at 9135 Roosevelt Highway around 1:15 p.m. for a person shot call. Officers and fire officials found the man dead in the parking lot.
Early investigation shows that two men, a Bojangles manager and the victim, were involved in an argument, which escalated into a deadly shooting.
Palmetto Police arrested Maurice Nolan Evans of Forest Park for murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. They said he is an employee of Bojangles.
