Following a complaint pertaining to gross “indiscipline and misconduct”, the Punjab Police have suspended a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) for allegedly misbehaving with a girl student.

The 2020-batch direct DSP was undergoing the residential certified investigator course for Punjab Police personnel at the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Patiala. “He misbehaved with the student on the campus and action was recommended,” confirmed a senior IPS officer.

Sources say that the incident took place almost 10 days back in which the DSP allegedly misbehaved with a girl student pursuing a law degree.
