Sink your teeth into this news: The first Originals baby is on the way.

Series alum Candice King is pregnant with her third child, which will be her first with former costar Steven Kreuger , the couple announced on Instagram Dec. 8.

"We’re having a baby!" the Vampire Diaries star, who got engaged to Steven in May , wrote. "Baby Krueger coming May 2026!"

Candice, 38, added, "The best gift we could hope for this holiday season."

The actors—who played Caroline Forbes and Josh Rosz on CW's The Originals —received a lot of love in the comments of their announcement, including a message from costar Claire Holt .

"Yayyy," Claire wrote, "so happy for you both."
