Baltimore County police arrested a 19-year-old man in Parkville in connection with an attempted kidnapping that occurred last week.

Officers said they responded to the 8300 block of Edgedale Road on Dec. 4 for a report of a suspicious person. A preliminary investigation revealed that a male subject approached three young children in the area and attempted to persuade them to follow him away from the location.

Detectives identified 19-year-old Cameron Keelan as the suspect. He was charged with attempted kidnapping and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Police are asking anyone who has come into contact with Keelan or has information related to the case to call 410-887-2361.
