A Waterloo woman is dead and an infant injured after a single-vehicle wreck Sunday on Highway 157, according to Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn.

Chunn identified the woman Monday as 29-year-old Kayleigh Page.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says Page was fatally injured about 7:40 p.m. when the 2021 Tesla Model Y Long Range she was driving left the roadway, struck two trees, and caught fire.

Chunn says a person who witnessed the wreck rescued the infant. The infant was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office, the wreck happened in the Massey area near the Morgan/Cullman county line.
