The holiday spirit is taking over Decatur as the city’s annual Christmas parade rolls into town.

Downtown Decatur is gearing up for thousands of people lining the streets, ready for floats, music, and plenty of Christmas cheer. And while the parade brings the fun, it’s also bringing a big boost for local businesses.

Young Professionals of Decatur is hosting the parade, President and Co-founder, Cheyenne Sanchez said, “It’s really important to get people down here so they know the local businesses are here, the restaurants are always open, it's one of their biggest nights, some of them run specials and deals for the parade.”
