The Miller family started their hobby of programming holiday lights 11 years ago and have continued to grow their display in the 6 years they have lived in Vernal. Ed Miller says it started as a gift to his wife Christina, whose Christmas wish was to have a house like the Griswolds. What started as a couple controllers and programmed songs has grown to 9 controllers with 16 circuits per controller, 6000 feet of extension cords, 18 personally programmed songs, a near infinite number of twinkling lights, and 1 very special custom mask and costume that makes appearances in the evenings, especially on weekends.
