LIVINGSTON, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Tennessee district attorney has ruled that no charges will be filed against students allegedly involved in a bullying and hazing incident.

DA Bryant C. Dunaway reports that no charges will be filed against the students involved in the incident at Livingston Academy.

Dunaway said that social media rumors went rampant on the allegations involving the hazing incident.

“While there was physical contact between students. No student was physically injured. The behavior could be characterized as very inappropriate hazing and bullying of other students,” the DA said.

“Based on the legal standard for criminal offenses, the behavior would not rise to the level of a sexual offense. The behavior could be considered offensive touching.
