Who wouldn’t want to rifle through a Parisian girl’s wardrobe?
That’s the scenario Cinq à Sept founder Jane Siskin imagined for pre-fall ’s collection, which took in elements of French country, Françoise Hardy’s ‘60s cool and a bit of a flamboyant Jimi Hendrix vibe from across the pond. According to Siskin, this was the season to embrace all of the ingredients that have made the brand such a success in the contemporary space, “to put them in a blender and see how it would come out.”
The result offered much to taste in the way of Cinq à Sept’s frilly floral dresses (loyal customers will be pleased to see archival prints have been reinterpreted) as well as newer things to sample, like swing jackets and vests.
