ANN ARBOR, MI - One teen has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a fatal shooting in Ann Arbor on Sunday.

A 17-year-old was arrested around 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in connection with a fatal shooting at the apartment complex at 1440 Pear Street in Ann Arbor, confirmed Chris Page, spokesperson for the Ann Arbor police.

He is accused of fatally shooting a 17-year-old girl around 1:30 p.m., Dec. 7. The other teen was previously referred to as a “young woman” by police.

A firearm believed to be connected to the incident was recovered. It is not yet clear what motivated the shooting, although police previously said they believe it is an isolated incident.

Neither teen was a resident of the complex and were not in a relationship. They did know each other, police said.
