Srinagar, Dec 8: Army and other agencies today joined police in questioning Chinese national, Hu Congtai, who was detained yesterday for visiting Kashmir and Ladakh without valid visa.
Congtai was today taken to Joint Interrogation Centre in Humhama near Srinagar Airport this morning and almost all the agencies joined police in questioning him. The data from his cell phone was retrieved and it is being analysed.
An official said that he may be deported tomorrow or Wednesday after all the formalities are completed.
Congtai, 29, had arrived in India on a tourist visa that permitted travel to select Buddhist pilgrimage sites but had toured Ladakh and parts of Kashmir, including locations of strategic interest.
