PHOENIX — An 80-year-old man has died after he was found in a backyard pool at a West Valley residence.

Peoria police said officers were dispatched on Dec. 8 to a home near 78th Lane and Jomax Road, where an elderly man was found in a swimming pool. Life-saving measures were performed on the individual, but he could not be revived.

Police said no signs of foul play have been detected and the man's death may have been medically related. Sky12 footage showed several police officers and firefighters processing the scene.

The deceased man's identity was not disclosed.
