A sanitary sewer replacement project will result in daily closures of the Kaywood Court intersection at Quaker Road until Dec. 22, Niagara Region says.

In an update on its Quaker Road Sanitary Sewer project page , the municipality said workers started repairing 20 metres of the sewer Monday. Road restoration, including new curbs and sidewalks, is expected this fall.

The Region said the trench at the intersection will be backfilled at the end of each day to allow vehicles to drive over and ensure access to their homes.

“During construction, expect dust, noise and road closures near construction activities with detour routes set up through nearby neighbourhoods,” the post said.

Residents will receive advance notice if access to their property or services will be interrupted.
