Greenville-based conservation nonprofit Upstate Forever announced Dec. 8 it had secured four new conservation easements and had a significant national land trust accreditation renewed.
The conservation easements protect properties in Greenville, Anderson, Oconee and Greenwood counties totaling nearly 450 acres and comprising working agricultural land, forest, wildlife habitat and water resources.
Newly protected
Working with private landowners, conservation partners and funders, Upstate Forever finalized easements on the following properties: • December Hill Farm — 39 acres in Anderson County that will join a previously secured 906 acres straddling the line between Anderson and Oconee counties.
