MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - Five organizations are getting a funding boost this year, thanks to the Moline Kiwanis Club.
The club announced it would donate $2,109 to groups focused on serving kids, families and community needs with the Porky Pig Fund, according to a media release.
Officials said each group will get a $420 donation. This years recipients include:
The Salvation Army
The Marine Toys for Tots Program
The Moline High School Special Olympics
GiGi’s Playhouse
The Children’s Therapy Center
“The Moline Kiwanis Club is dedicated to providing support to the Moline community, focusing on organizations that support children,” club president Jennifer von Kaenel said in the release. “These organizations are all providing great programs and we are proud to support them.”
