There’s a ton of buzz swirling around the Boston Red Sox right now as it regards potential moves they might make this offseason. There’s also plenty of excitement about what Boston’s already built heading into 2026, mostly in terms of the “untouchable” pieces on their roster that promise to be franchise cornerstones for years to come. In that vein, two guys who 100 percent aren’t going anywhere (anytime soon) are Garrett Crochet and Roman Anthony.
Another thing Crochet and Anthony won’t be doing is participating in March’s World Baseball Classic, according to Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow.
Breslow told MassLive’s Chris Cotillo on Monday during the MLB Winter Meetings that he doesn’t expect either player to play in the WBC.
